Help! I'm adventuring into this very...GREEN... chat room for the first time and I keep getting on when there is nobody there. Since I spend the rest of my day talking to myself the only reason I get on the chat rooms is so I don't know all the answers to my questions. If someone would give me some info I may just kiss them...but then again I may not. *grins*

Well, guest, welcome to Tir! If you click on WHO & WHEN at the top of the chat screen that may help somewhat. You have to remember that the Tir is the watering hole for people all over the world, hence you have to take into consideration the different time zones. During the day can be somewhat slow, as are the weekends. But remember, in the real world, like cyberspace, people love to stop in at night for a pint or two. Just remember that nighttime here may be morning somewhere else.
As far as the offer for a kiss goes, I would have to know your gender first before I accepted or declined.*LOL*..Hope I helped a wee bit.
By Lacie on Tuesday, March 21, 2000 - 10:27 am:
welcome, guestie ..... time zones can kill ya in chat, I know *L*
By Stranger on Tuesday, March 21, 2000 - 02:29 pm:
Thanks for the help Shamrock. As for the kiss, I can't tell you what gender I am AND remain mysterious. So you'll just have to guess. J

*wanders in...* Hello stranger! How's about giving a time you'll be around, and then one (or probably more...*L*) of us will show up to welcome you to our fair inn......... :)
By Seamusmccool on Wednesday, March 22, 2000 - 01:39 am:
*L* @ LostSoul. It's very kind and generous of you to help Stranger out. That's the way people are here in Tir, Stranger (and just ask any of them, no one was stranger than I *G*).
LS, by the way, just WHEN will you be around here? *G*
By Shamrock on Wednesday, March 22, 2000 - 02:59 am:
Just one question, guest, when you finally do make it to our fair Inn how will we know who you are to welcome you here? Do you have a handle yet?
By Stranger on Thursday, March 23, 2000 - 03:41 pm:
Well Shamrock, I will be the only one in a borrowed Zorro costume. I'll have my own handle when Zorro wants his costume back. As for the time I'll be around, it all depends on where you are at. In Eastern Standard Time I'll be on around 9:00-2:00. See you all around.J
By Shamrock on Thursday, March 23, 2000 - 06:25 pm:
Aye, but the people Zorro helped knew who he was.*G* And I never knew that Zorro let ANYONE borrow his mask or cape!! *L*....I'm also EST, New England to be exact.
By Guest on Thursday, March 23, 2000 - 11:52 pm:
Mysterious Stranger: If you are in EST (the time zone not the therapy*G*) and I am in Ontario Canada - what time is it where I am?
"Q"onfusion abounds at the Tir
Perhaps we will meet yet - Stranger
Until then
hasta la vista

Western Standard Time here .... Australian though, so I guess that may make a touch of difference.
I am sure you will find lotsa people to buy you a welcoming drink, Strange Zorro, and if they dont buy you one, put a drink or 10 on my tab at the bar.
By Graymyst on Friday, March 31, 2000 - 02:29 am:
Hmmmmmmm.... I dunno me ma told me not to talk to strangers... (but then I do talk to Seamus McCool)..I'm EST (Maine) and occasionally stop in when me little one sleeps..and occasionally during the early day..while she watches the ever popular Sesame Street. (gotta love Elmo) :)
By Cbleidd on Friday, March 31, 2000 - 06:42 am:
Western Standard Time...not to mention, Lacie, that you've got the added bonus of being in the Southern Hemisphere, so whilst spring blooms up here, your autumnal changes are taking place. Fun, ain't it?
Graymyst, I used to live in Maine myself--for 12 years, from very early childhood (I was less than a year old when we moved there) to the summer before I turned 13. Been gone for almost 19 years, and haven't visited since 1988. *sigh* Sometimes I miss living "over t'home," even if I am "from away."
These days, I reside in western Tennessee, on the banks of the Big Muddy--Memphis, to be exact, Home of the Blues and the Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll. Been here for six years almost, and will leave it all behind one of these days for the Gods only know where.

welcome Stranger, or Zorro if ye prefer, to Tir Na Nog! You may like it better if you can manage to catch anyone at home...like ships passing in the night we are... blinded, in a fog and without foghorns or lights at that! But you can find myself and the North American contingent chatting most evenings from 3 AM to 5 AM Cobh Ireland time(see the timetable chart for conversions)...hope to meet ye sometime...slan!
