August 18 thru 22 the O'Brien Clan celebrates the Millenium of Brian Boru being crowned Árd Rígh of Ireland.The Brian Boru Millenium Festival is based in Limerick but will feature events in many other parts of the ancient kingdom of Thomond. It is a very special year for members and descendants of the Clan. I consider 1002 A.D a year worth remembering for anyone interested in Irish History regardless of Clan affiliation.
