Everyone in Cork knows Barry (sometimes pronounced "Burry")
He spreads golden moments.

I may be off at a tangent Acc but my aunt is looking for a Barry's pub or hotel in Kinsale.....

Don't know it - but that does not mean anything much. :)
No obvious match in the 'phone book.
Try googling with a bit more information about the place?

It's not uncommon for people to refer to a place by an old name. I can think of pubs and streets in Cobh which have multiple names.
Hence - much more information may be needed.

e.g. from http://starbulletin.com/98/07/13/editorial/special.html
"A leading figure in the transformation of Kinsale into a tourist town is Peter Barry. A pioneer, he opened two restaurants -- The Spaniard and Man Friday -- there in 1963."
So this Barry may have opened other places - one of which may or not have been referred to your aunt as "Barry's" - no matter what name is actually over the door.

Isn't life rich?

I may be off on a tangent, also .. but sounds like 'guest' and Acc are using "code" .. should we expect a drop of 'good grog got cheap' at the bar?
