We have Canada Day on July 1st (formerly called Dominion Day). It's a BIG PARTY day all across the country - from the atlantic to the pacific.

Thanks for the good wishes! It was a good day ... considering the whole bloody country is on fire! The spirit of the "Aussie" comes through, though.
