What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form, in moving, how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! And those opposable thumbs what I could do with a pair of them!
By Guest on Monday, March 8, 2004 - 12:13 pm:
pssst, monkeys have opposable thumbs
By Silk on Monday, March 8, 2004 - 09:24 pm:
My husband, not happy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods.
When I'm in a good mood it turns green.
When I'm in a bad mood it leaves a big f*ckin' red mark on his forehead.
Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond !!!! ;)
By Guest on Monday, March 8, 2004 - 09:30 pm:
um monkey, i didn't know monkeys could quote shakespear AND use opposible thumbs at the same time, and opposible feet, tail.
okay me good now

Some say thy fault is youth, some wantonness;
Some say thy grace is youth and gentle sport;
Both grace and faults are lov'd of more and less:
Thou makest faults graces that to thee resort.
As on the finger of a throned queen
The basest jewel will be well esteem'd,
I think I shall be well surfficed,
To pluck and suck your body lice

Whats the deal with salt, how would evolution allow us to like things that kill us?
By Dave on Sunday, April 11, 2004 - 01:03 pm:
Because salt, in moderation, is needed by the body. The taste for salt was a way for us to be drawn to intake when our system needed it. Up until the last several hundred years, salt was quite rare and sought after. For instance, the word salary comes from how Roman Soldiers were paid. Their wages were paid with salt. As usual, humans are not content to only use what they need. They must take it to excess.
By Monkey117 on Monday, April 12, 2004 - 06:12 am:
So I think my neighbor is a human. Not that theres anything wrong with that. I'm just saying I think shes passing. Major comb-over on the back, on a windy day it looks like she has wings. My friend, Sargent Buttons, he says if he ever falls from his canopy he'll evolve wings before he hits the ground I told "Buttons it take you like 5 seconds for you to hit the ground you can't evolve wings in five seconds" So next week I'm helping him move into a taller tree.
thank-you don't forget to try the brocolli.

I swear, my board just gets weirder every day....*g
By Silk on Sunday, April 18, 2004 - 10:02 am:
*takes Celt to one side ~ whispers into ear* "Pssst, purely in th'interests of scientific research just wondered if y've ever conducted an official experiment t'see if the postings to y'board become more rampant and weird when the moon is full?* :O
Does the evidence support your summation that your board is actually becoming anymore 'weird' than any of the other prospective boards available, or is it that your perception has taken a major evolutionary warp-speed leap forward, leaving the scope wide open to interpretation?

By Monkey117 on Sunday, May 16, 2004 - 12:14 pm:
We went out to dinner with my wifes sister and her husband, the guys a reak big shot show you know what I mean? We just get comfortable around the bug-hole and he says "its on me "makes a big deal outta this stick he has, he sticks it in the ground and pulls it out its all covered in bugs! Now my wife is after me to start using tools like big shot does.
Things will get better though , I'm no Darwin but I think things will get better. Darwin, talk about your optimist, he clears a handful of hair out of the drain and thinks "hey I'm evolving"

a red sox becomes a cub? this is like a black cat knocking over a mirror while walking under a ladder.
By Indigo on Sunday, August 1, 2004 - 08:35 pm:
but what about a twin becoming a red sox....woe is me...
By Celt on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 - 02:05 am:
just as long as a white sox doesnt become a cub...*w
By Shamrock on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 - 03:31 am:
No, but a white sox became a yank and I would assume that's better than becoming a cub..*L*
By Celt on Saturday, August 7, 2004 - 01:30 pm:
yes, but not by much..lol
By Heather on Saturday, September 11, 2004 - 05:50 pm:
*Heather* wondering where everyone is... pokes around the pub
looking for the utility closet...this place really needs the cobwebs
swept out! Hauls out the broom, duster, and a bucket of good
soapy water. Well this place would do just fine for Samhain...
but it needs a cheery fire, people, and pints to go around!
Disappears behind the counter humming to the tune of some
old Irish jig she can't recall the name of.
By Indigo on Sunday, September 12, 2004 - 02:12 am:
*Indie does her part too... checks the keg lines, changes kegs to fresh ones... I'll be here for the Samhain celebrations... you can bet on it..!Washes glasses up, and makes ready... put new batteries in Jethro's remote control too...*lol**
I'll bring up some corn stalks and pumpkins closer to Samhain...ok Heather? I love pumpkin carvin'.. *s*
By Heather on Saturday, September 18, 2004 - 03:54 pm:
That's the spirit Indie! I'll have a great pumpkin harvest this
season! I was quite surprised to find a very, very large pumpkin
hidden away under some leaves in the back of the patch the
other day. I hadn't noticed it until it was quite massive. That
was a nice surprise. My corn is a bit slow this season, with the
cold, rainy weather and all.
Hey Indie, do you think there's any hard cider hiding behind the
counter somewhere or maybe the cellar? *grins* :-)
By Indigo on Sunday, September 19, 2004 - 02:46 am:
You KNOW there is...!!! A case of Bulmer's...in the chill-box and ready to pour... enjoy!
and by the way heather... it'll be officially autumn here next week and I live in Wisconsin...
By Heather on Sunday, September 19, 2004 - 01:01 pm:
Yes, I've been reading about the Autumn Equinox which begins
tomorrow, Monday. I thought perhaps people on other
continents might be in the middle of spring and that's why Tir
has been so quiet. I know I have a hard time getting to the
computer during the summer season....to much to do outdoors.
However, our summer has ended quite abruptly and unusually
early.
By Celt on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 04:26 am:
Hmmm....Bulmer's? never heard of it...
I really ought to check me board more often *L
By Ludd on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 - 07:16 am:
