Eleanor McEvoy did a gig at the Maritime Festival in Cobh recently.
She opened with the song 'The Seabird'. She then mentioned that she always begins her Cobh gigs with the song as someone had requested it a few years ago at a Cobh gig and it went down so well.
The 'someone' was Mick, when he and Wun were here on their grand tour. We 'requested' the song by writing it into Eleanor's song list, which happened to be lying at our feet in the front row.
So there ya goo Mick and Wun. You initiated a tradition :)

O.M.G. that is toooooooo cool! I still have the song list too.
It pays to be a "silly git" sometimes (her description of the audience members who altered her song list).
Wow, this made my day.
Thanks Brian!
