Hey Shaman! thanks for the good wishes!! I'll hopefully be watching fireworks over New York Harbor!! Going to NYC and Boston on a Baseball-O-Rama week!! Only one more shift at the Hooch mart until my week of freedom!! *lol*... I'm pretty sure my sanity hinges on being at the airport in MSP by 5:30 am Friday.*grins*... I'm SOOOO ready for a break!!

Hey Indigo - sounds like a great week planned!! Hope the fireworks are glorious - I adore fireworks! We had them here on our Holiday, shot off from a couple of huge ocean going barges in the harbour...it was fabulous. Getting home was adventurous & lengthy due to crowds but well worth it. Have a great time Indigo...want to hear about it when you get back!

*laughs*... as a matter of fact... we did indeed have some BBQ last night, and it was Wonderful!!
The fireworks were Grand!! Crowds were huge, and it was raining lightly in NYC... but they fired 'em up over the East river.... the FDR Parkway next to the water was closed to traffic, and packed with people.... *smiles*.... We walked down to them from our hotel... and walked back... a hike, but not too bad... *lol*
Yesterday we were at Yankee Stadium...classic conflict, the yanks and the RED SOX!!!
That was Awesome... although the SOX lost... I couldn't help myself... I was yelling for the SOX...The subway after was a zoo... I mean bodies packed in so tight you didn't need to worry about grabbing a rail.... crazy.... but fun...got back to hotel and found the BBQ place.. then walked down to see Times Square at night!!! WOW! quite a place....Today, Sunday the 6th, we are going down to Ground Zero, and Ellis Island...

Sounds like a fabulous weekend so far...Ellis Island should be interesting, so much history there....and Ground Zero - wow - that would take my breath away. I am conflicted about that...I know it's valuable land and they want to rebuild there, but I think it really should be a park in memory of what happened...Hope you continue to have fun in the Big Apple. I love those deli's there - my mouth waters thinking of the yummy food!
