Hallo!
Would "May he rest in peace" have been used c. 1691 Ireland?
What is a better saying for the time? (In English and Irish, if possible...but just English is fine!)
This is for a short film that I'm writing. I'm on the 2nd draft, so I figured it was time to clarify a few things! Most of the dialogue is in Irish, and I'll be having that translated.
WHile I'm at it--I'm getting conflicting information on when potatoes were brought to Ireland, and when they became widely used. Any 17th century subsistance farming experts out there? ;)
Thanks so much!
cheers,
christa.
