I am doing some research that includes the legends of the World Tree located at or Under Lough Gur. I cannot find a reference to it that gives its name in Gaeilge. Can anybody help me out?

The only thing that I can find that might be considered an alternate name is Axis Mundi.

I seem to remember
- Tree of Trees
- Tree of Munster
Given where it (is), I wouldn't be surprised by
Tree of Áine

That would make sense. It is important for my research that I have the correct ancient name for the Tree. It seems to fit in with the Global World Tree / Tree of Life Legends. What makes this one unique (As far as I have seen) is that only the Irish Legends actually give a location as to where the Tree might be located.
Thanks for your assistance Acc.

Daryl,
My name is Helena O'Brien - my family have owned the land around Lough Gur for 16 generations. I know the very hill where the entrance to Tir na nOg is supposedly located. The name of the Hill is Knockadoon - it is a very special and spiritual place. I used to visit there as a child.
Any information you have on Lough Gur/Tir na nOg etc. would be greatly appreciated.
All the best,
Helena O'Brien
