What time period does a Social History of Ancient Ireland cover? Approximately what years?

About 6th to 12th Century (-ish).

Please bear in mind:
- the bits about the date (1906) of its writing
- the fact that is a summary of Joyce's earlier and larger Social History

Well I was more curious about the actual social history book. Will probably be buying it in a few weeks on Amazon.com... they have it, two volumes, for like $145 or so.

But it does sound like this is definitly the book I want, as I'm wanting to study the british isles, especially ireland and scotland/dal riada during the early middle ages, especially around the 4th to 7th centuries.

So thanks for assistance.

Question, how much did Irish society, if any, change after the Norman invasions of the late 1100s?

I should say, how much did it change from the period of the late 1100s to the mid 1300s, from what is listed in this book?
