www.freewebco.net was at physical IP address 61.174.137.145, which is in the control of CHINANET Zhejiang province network
Later it disappeared for a while but then popped up on IP 210.83.165.6, which in the control of China Netcom Corp.
By September 24th (see the Updates page) it had moved to 210.83.166.122.
The formal IP blacklisting process takes too long. Domains should be blacklisted as well.
There was pressure applied to the Chinese network controllers when the story broke. That would explain the change. It looks like this special case is causing too much heat. By Monday 17th, the new IP seemed to be blocked. But it's 'whack-a-mole' They just find another host and point the DNS computers at it, and so on. The only way to really whack a Chinese-based mole is to convince the domain registry to pull the domain (and keep it pulled). Then the mole starts up under another name, and it all starts again. This is not a case of 'educate the spammer'. This is a determined fraudster.

Access (to 210.83.165.22) was being blocked for a while within China Netcom Corp. Currently it is pingable but the web server is not responding on port 80
